Day Five of the Lily Pad’s Month of Challenges was to take inspiration from a book cover. I am going to use the layout as the cover to my 2012 Project Life Album (I am determined to finish it off this month…yes I’m very behind). Also a little in love with black and white photos and yellow.
Products from: Spots are from Just Jaimee mixed media mix and match. stitching from Paislee Press Weekender. The square behind the text is the white canvas in Paislee Press Gallery Album No 2. The 2012 text is covered in the chalkboard paper in the Paislee Press Gallery Album.
Day four (yes I have skipped day three, will come back to that tonight) of the Lily Pad’s Month of Challenges is a double page spread. I have decided to keep it simple and this photos was in need of being put somewhere, so a double page spread worked well.
All products are from Paislee Press: Up and away, Gallery Album 2 and For the record.
Day two of the Lily Pad’s Month of Challenges took a little more thought as it is art journaling. Here it is; I took a double triangle frame and repeated it all over a white background. Almost all of the photos are different (J loves the camera). The yellow spotty blob behind the text is cut out from patterned paper and made transparent. I’m quite happy with how it turned out.

We visited the most eastern point of the Australian Mainland – Cape Byron last weekend.
April was another reasonably quiet month, still trying to find my energy while carrying my precious cargo. April held lots of weekend breakfasts in bed. Sarah came to visit and came with me to my 20 week scan while hubby was in East Timor. We drank the last of the limited eddition Nespresso pods that I have (they were delicious).
I flew to Sydney for the ANZAC weekend to visit family and friends and looking after my little fluffy cats while Mum and Dad were away. I have been enjoying the sunrises from my view in a high-rise apartment as the countdown to the big move is on. Just over three months to go and we will be packing up and lugging all our belongings 1000km to our new home.
Found this picture this week while searching for some other photos. We were heading to East Timor from Darwin in a Metroliner. I wonder what she is thinking…
